Excellent female junior researchers at LMU are eligible to apply for scholarships from the Bavarian Gender Equality Grant (BGF): programme to promote equal opportunities in research and teaching.

Appointment-training, voice coaching and grants for childcare may be requested as support in the qualification phase. Enquiries can be made via the Office of the University Women's Representative. This on-demand offer ist needs-based and budget-dependent.

Prinzessin Therese von Bayern Foundation

The Prinzessin Therese von Bayern Foundation for the promotion of women in science was established in 1997 to mark the 100th anniversary of the first woman awarded an honorary doctorate by LMU: the scientist, travel writer and patron Prinzessin Therese von Bayern (1850-1925).

Since then, the foundation has honoured outstanding achievements by female researchers at LMU by awarding the Prinzessin Therese von Bayern Prize (only in German).
